Default Headlight question...

I was at a Harley dealership in Florida and picked up an extreme xenon high output bulb for my 2010 dyna wide glide. will this thing run too hot for my headlamp encloser? I didnt see the off road use warning on the side of the box till after i got home. Is this thing safe to use on my bike is what i'm getting at.

the thing is yes and no ,, yes if its say 100 watt globe yes your in trouble,,, the smart globes now are still 55/60 watt, but you have a choice in brigthness plus 30 plus 50 plus 100 , same power eg heat in your headlight shell but more brighter globe,, don't use a blue tinted globe as that's just a marketing hype too make out your got H I D, HID aren't good as they don't like being flicked from high/low all the time..

The plug for the bulb could also over heat and basically start falling apart.

personally I wouldn't use , but your a big boy,, its your call, blue globes are horse **** but I know some one wont agree.. by upping your wattage it creates a higher temp in the head light glass/plastic lens, also more current draw on your electrical system and known too melt plugs if your unlucky... use the ones I posted earlier,, same watts/power BUT brighter lights...ANGAIN up too you talk too a auto electrain
