Default Locking detatchable chrome cam locks for sideplates

Purchased new sideplates and chrome locking cam locks to match..(Street Bob 2011)....to attach to Jackyls Tour Pak bracket. No matter what I do I can only make one side fit properly. On studying the instructions again and again, it looks as if one should only fit a lock to one side, leaving an unlockable cam lock on the other.....IS THIS RIGHT ?????
If it is, this means that I have a chrome lockable cam on one side and a black unlockable cam on the other.....do I have to buy a new unlockable chrome cam kit to get it all to match ?????

I have not thought of using 2. I do have one on the right side. My thought is they are a left and right side so it is possible they only fit the right side. By flipping it to use on the left side may not work because you are putting it on backwards. Outside in.

Been there, done that! Lock is for right side only. Had to exchange my chrome locks for the black ones to match.

Default Thanks

Thanks for the confirmation.
Having just purchased Jackyl's excellent bracket, King Tour Pak, wrap round LED lights for TP, side lights for TP, Air Wing Luggage rack with LED brake light.......oh and some stainless steel plate to extend the footprint of Jackyl's bracket.........I' ll wait a month or two before getting the chrome non-locking cam lock kit.........so it all matches ( dealer charges a 40% restocking fee so an exchange isn't worth it). Just why the MoCo doesn't sell a model specific kit beats me.
Oh....anyone wanting a left hand fitting lockable chrome cam lock can have it for the cost of shipping from Scotland.........!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
