Ill have to buy a jack tomorrow...
I dont have any of my big tools out here. (recently moved)
I dont know mileage of tire. Still same as when I bought the bike. (back in mid. Feb) I have put on around 4k miles onto them though.
Dunlop in the front, Michelin in the back. Rear was pretty new when I bought it.
Front tire is looking a little old...
But, I will look into all the above suggestions tomorrow hopefully. thanks!
Oh...I would assume my wheels are straight, but dont really have a way to check...The thought of them going out of alignment after being parked doesnt seem right. Though, the front tire bulging after a hot 10 hour ride, that sounds plausible.
Mixing tires is not a good thing,..If it was me I would put a new front tire that matches the rear,, Stick with Michelin,, Dunlop's are known to come apart internally .
As is sat, 35 rear 33 front.
Lowered the front to 30 and drove it to the gas station. Still wobbled.
Filled the front up to about 36, back 38. Still wobbled.
Did not feel any different between the pressures. I didnt have another 75 cents on me for air so I had to stop home.
I have a cheapo Autozone gauge, but I will still think I could notice some difference between the pressures if that were the issue.
Im pretty sure I used a cheapy gauge when I filled up before I left for my road trip. Think I had them at about 38/36 or so.
Cant remember how many counterweights were on each tire, but I didnt see any "clean" spots where one may have been.
Besides, wouldnt I have noticed that during the ride?
Check out your rear wheel bearing, I would say it has started collapsing. You will need to jack the rear wheel off the ground to check. Mine did exactly what you are describing. if you do a search here you will see it is quite common,
good luck.
Yes, air is between .75 and $1. Its ridiculous. Should just buy a compressor I spose...
I ordered a new front tire, will get that put on as soon as it comes in.
Still need to buy a jack so I can check everything else out. Havnt been riding it though in the mean time.
Ill start to look into the rear bearing issue. Hopefully thats not the case...
