brake help
Z Plus pads were an improvement on the front, jury is still out on the back. After experimenting a bit I think my problem isn't so much the rear brake itself as it is the geometry of the pedal in relation to my leg and the air cleaner. I have to make a conscious effort to really press in tight to the air cleaner with my leg in order to get good purchase on the pedal. I really need to figure out the best way to extend that pad out just a bit.
Another vote for Lyndall brake pads. Just ordered a new rear set. Get them from Hogpro. Best price, free shipping, and they are a site sponsor. Nice folks to deal with. You might also consider a floating brake rotor if your bike did not come with one...They dissipate heat better for less fade.

We have most Lyndall Z Plus pads in stock. I dunno, I never use my rear brake unless I am about to die. But you might want to try bleeding the system as well as if there is air in teh system the pedal will be soft.
The front does most of the work, so I don't think the rear need to be that strong. If you can lock up the rear tire with stock components, I can't see what improvement high performance calipers would add.
Pads, bleed, ride like hell
