Im so ashamed
Ive come here for penance. last night the wife and I rode out to visit my parents, left any and all rain gear at home. sure enough, we had another of these wonderful Atlanta nights with 12 inches of rain. (starting to feel like Seattle here).
Im ashamed and disappointed to report that we lift our bikes there and borrowed a truck to make it home. Meanwhile my son (who rides a sporty) rode through it like a man.
Oh the shame......

Thanks yall, Im debating getting a jet ski. Im proud of the boy though, for insurance reasons he found himself in a situation where the motorcycle was the only option. for a 19 year old hes made some pretty good decisions regarding his daily commute. hope I didnt just jinx it! Yall be safe out there in "A"town
Turn in your card! Shame, for shame!
Actually, I've never had any rain gear, so I'd have to tough it out and be a "rain rider".

Atlanta weather seems like its always to the extreme, either so dry we have a drought or rain almost every day for weeks. What happened to normal? Considering last nights weather you made the right choice.
Just made the trip home from the Outer Banks NC, to Indiana. We rode thru pouring rain with cars pulled off the highway. No fun but not much choice. 2150 miles in 6 days with 950 of them on the last day getting home. Talk about Swamp ***... Whew!!!

. Sounds like you made the right call.
