I bought this Fat Bob used, it had lots done to it stage1 engine, sissy bar, windshield, bags, grips etc. Mostly done right, but there were some "details" I just had to deal with to make it mine...
The brown saddlebags had to be matched to the denim black, the chrome AC cover and horn had to be shadowed and I had to do something with the stock plate area.
I'm also replacing the stock seat. My dealer is bringing in a Rallyrunner and a Touring Seat for me try out.
The intake is last year's style Screaming Eagle Chisel....Its a good intake no doubt, the bike has some serious nut but next year its gone. The AC is jammed into my inner thigh, this really feels like crap and I always have to work my leg around the thing......and the new intake will be black to start with
I didn't read the whole thread. I stopped when you said the tail bone was the issue.
That is where my problem is. I rode a SD on my Sporty for 3 years/20k+ miles and didn't have a problem. Maybe I was leaning forward a little. Neither here nor there.
I have read about folks sending their seats off to be shaved or adjusted or whatever they call it which might work for you.
Good luck. Nothing sucks worse than going for a pleasure ride and being in pain when you get done.
