That is my favoritest seat for looks...if I had longer legs, I would definitely have one. Looks great on your bike.

Thanks man.
I had such a blast splitting lanes on my trip up the coast. How is California the only ones who've allowed this so far???

Thanks for the reviews, it helps us know nothings. I'm in the market for a new seat for my switchback....the stock one (to me) sucks. I want a seat that I can ride all day long and not have a sore hiney at the end of the day. I wouldn't mind paying the price for a good seat, but like most, don't want to spend a big chunk of change and find out that the one I just bought isn't any better that the stock one. +1 one the nice ride

Love the noose and seat.

Yeah, lane splitting rocks. It's the norm in Tokyo. I could get to work in 30-35 minutes, regardless the traffic.

First thing was a new seat. Now, I may be one of the few who actually find the stock FXDB solo seat to be pretty comfy. I rode about 12k on it in about 10 months and didn't have a whole lot of complaint. I'm about 170, and 6 ft. I wanted a better looking seat tho, with comparable comfort, I tried out the mustang vintage solo thinkin it would be more cozy for this west coast trip I planned but, not so. Not only didn't it fit (for some unknown reason) but to me it felt about the same or worse than the stock seat... So I went with RSD 2up Boss.

It looks amazing, the quality is spot on and the comfort is well, about the same as stock. One thing I like tho, you sit lower and farther back, and I feel that it cups your rear a bit better. I rode it 3200 miles up the coast and enjoyed it.
Next up, I have been wanting taller apes but not sure how high I wanted, and with the integrated risers the 12's have it was kind of difficult to get a cheap method of making them taller, so I found these guys made just for the fxdb.

They sit flush and match the polished look the trees already have, with the stock bars, they bring your grip up to about 14'' and back about another inch. I have my bars rocked forward and it makes a real nice rider position. Ideally they are going to be a temporary thing while I figure out with bars I want to go with.
Last, I wanted a sissy bar. I wanted to make my own but couldn't find the metal I wanted in time, nor access to the tools I was going to need, so I found this guy on Ebay who makes them for you to attach to the HD detachable brackets. I didn't have those, so I cut the bar off a stock wideglide sissy bar and used those sideplate instead. It turned out pretty good and the bar quality is awesome. I caught people eyeing it all trip long and snapping pictures of it. And at about $120 I'd recommend it.

Hopefully I can go until winter now without opening the wallet... Oh wait, I need some new pegs....

These were the DK beartraps. I love them to death. HWY 1 has some killer twisties and with the speed and grades I was travelling at well, they are done now. I ordered another set just today, dont think I'll ever run another peg.

Dig what you've done to it.

And Someone has been have some FUN in the twisties!!!
