Hi, I am new to this place and most importantly new to Harley's. I just picked up a 2008 Dyna superglide custom. Its the 105th anniversary. I am not quite sold in the color just yet but this bike is super clean. Its all stock except for a crash bar, quick release windshield and quick release bags.
All my experience with motorcycles and been racing crotch rockets in the early 90's then moved on to motocross with some occasional racing tacks and GP's.
For years I have been eyeing Harley's. Infact as cheesy as it sounds when Terminator 2 came out I fell in love with Harleys.
I took a gamble and bought this bike. So far I love it. I am getting use to the bike and some of it's noises but all the research I have done seems these minore noises are inherent of big pushrod motors.
So far I took to windshield off and will use it for long trips maybe. I also took the crash bar off and save that for later or sell it. I bought a forward control kit I will install myself. I bought some cycleshack slash cut slip ons. I really like the sound but noticed I lost some bottom end power. I am looking into torque cones maybe.
I also have a factory service manual. I like to work on my own stuff
I plan on getting some ape hangers too. I am 6'2" and want to sit upright but nothing too drastic. Also I would like to get a intake system too then get the FI reprogrammed. Then a sissy bar for the wife.
Anyways that was a little long winded but that is a little about me and my bike. I really like this forum so far. I have learned a lot.

Welcome, I'm a new guy too. Had a sportster (an 02) a while back. Earlier I had a couple of four cylinder Hondas. Picked up a 2009 Super Glide a couple of weeks ago and have been working on making it fit me. These big twins are lots of fun to ride. Enjoy!
Joe
Welcome aboard from Texas and from another anniversary owner. If you decide you dont like the paint scheme you might consider painting a spare set of tins and packing yours up in a box for safe keeping. If yours is like mine then it is serialized. I have the same problem ...... not sold on the color scheme anyway always remember it didnt happen without pics

I like...when I get home Im gonna have to put some wax on mine to see it I can get it to shine as good as yours does. I am looking into packing away my tins and painting a spare set as to save the originality of the bike incase someone wants to return it back to stock, but yours looks good in the original color
