You and I think along the same lines mouth (except you dislike apes, haha). I was real close to buying those same trees for the same reasons you are considering getting them. I ended up chickening out though. Will be interested to see if you go for it.
If I would have had less rake I think I would've went with t bars instead of apes.

Nah...The apes wouldn't fit behind the fairing. This Dyna is the first bike I have ever had without them. I went a little overboard on the Roadking though. My fingers went numb because they were right at shoulder height. I stayed conservative on the Dyna...
What did it cost you approximately? I am going to do that as well. I was not sure which way I was going to go but powder wil be much cheaper I am thinking. Did you pull them yourself?
I am interested to see how it goes as well. I was thinking of doing the same thing. How did ya like the fairing before you pulled it? I am looking at the same one. If you want to part with it I would be interested.
I'm doing the same. Gonna take some of the rake out with the fat bob trees and get the shorter fork tubes so I'm not to high in the front end. Waiting for winter to do mine and I'm going to throw som Intiminators in while I'm at it.
