Hi, got a 2010 street bob recently, lovely bike, very happy with it but I have one issue that I hope someone can help with....
The rear mudguard licence plate sits under the rear tail light (on mine) but its not in line with the centre of the rear tyre, its dressed to the right (as you look at it from the rear) so it looks odd. I am sure the bike has never been dropped and I have checked the front & rear wheel alignment which is perfect, the bike tracks perfectly and with hands off rides arrow straight.
I've crawled about underneath and it seems to me that the rear wheel does not sit evenly under the rear mudguard (about half inch off centre). Question is, is this normal? Have any of you noticed this too?
I had a 2006 super glide (the 35th anniversary white one) a couple of years back and that was almost as bad but not as noticeable as the licence plate was above the light on that so you could not see it.
Please help, if this is just how they are then I'll have to learn to ignore it. Cheers john.
Hi thanks for taking the trouble to reply, I really appreciate it. The rear mudguard (in your picture) looks the same as mine so I guess it is just how they are put together. I like the side licence plate but over here in the UK we can't get away with a small plate (without getting pulled over) and the 'legal' sized one looks too ugly. You have a very handsome machine there by the way. Kind regards john
