Default Memphis Shade Batwing install

I'm looking at a MS batwing fairing for my FXDC. I currently have an HD compact windshield w/quick detach clamps.
My question is can if I purchase this kit Memphis Shades Plates Only Kit for Batwing Fairing-$62.95can it be adopted to the HD clamps? Has anyone did this mod?
Also can the brackets from the HD windshield be directly attached somehow to the Batwing w/some “massaging”. If anybody tried either of these methods please share some pics and/or instructions.
Thanks in advance
Mike

The HD windshield brackets will not work, but I understand that the MS brackets can be adapted.
I went a different route several years ago because I was unsure if the MS brackets could be adapted
and had a local guy cut and bend some sheet metal brackets for me for about the same price as buying the
MS ones.

Do some searching on this board.. there's LOTS of threads on Batwings and how to fit them..

I used the Memphis Shades bracket system. My part numbers will be irrelevant since mine is not for a Dyna. I got lucky that the width was perfect for my wide glide front end. The quick detach clamps on the Memphis Shades brackets is a definite possibility for you.

I did end up doing a little Drexel work on the Mempphis Shades brackets to adjust the angle but that wasn't necessary. It was just a preference.

There ya go... I KNEW I'd seen a post from someone who'd used the MS parts..

Thanks, Trip!

If you retro fit the he clamps you lose the ability to adjust the fairing. You can move it up or down but not fwd or aft. You cant tilt it to get the right angle to stop possible buffiting. Unless someone came up with a plan.

My sheet metal fittings allow for adjusting the rake, but I haven't found any real difference doing so.
If I had it to do all over again, I wouldn't bother trying to design in adjustability...
