got a windshield from a buddy of mine and im looking for the quick detach brackets that go on the windshield itself.
the one I have is a solid mount
my 2007 Heritage has the brackets on the forks so just need the parts that go on the windshield. anyone know where to get them. im not finding them in the HD online store for my year.
They are available from HD at about 2 x the price best betis new and used on EBay. if your bike has the stock HD fork miounts (rubber gromets) the memphis Shades quick detach wont fit unless you buy the whole kit. I changed to memphis Shades hardware IMO it is much better quality and had latches that lock into place vs the HD that push on and sometimes only have the little spring catch
Are you sure the brackets will line up proper on the windshield? I have a set of those detach brackets I bought to replace those solid mounts but it didnt line up. Ended up buying the mounting hardware for the solid mount.

You won't find replacement parts in the HD online store... they just sell the extras and trinkets on that site.... the money makers, not all the basic nuts & bolts stuff that keeps your bike running
If you go to one of the online HD microfiche parts sites, or in the parts manual for your year, you will find a breakdown of all the parts needed for the windshield. For the 2007 Heritage, the brackets are: 57062-00A Bracket, Windshield, Right and 57063-00A Bracket, Windshield, Left. Then a quick check on Surdyke.com shows List price at $42.06 and their online price at $34.61..
For your reference, there are many microfiche sites and several online HD parts discounters.. here are two examples:
