I know there is a quick release windshield for my '94 Heritage, but I don't want the stock HD lexan; its too thin. I use a thicker stock replacement glass from Cee Bailey and love it. I have a stock HD detachable 4-bolt mount on it now and this works fine. Problem is I like riding without the windshield sometimes and the wife doesn't... and I don't like wrenching it off and on all the time. I'm not ashamed to say I am cheap assed. That said, do any of you know if the original pre-2000 glass fits the HD pre-2000 quick release mount? AND can I buy just the mounting and docking hardware? My local shop doesn't want to check. They just want me to buy the whole kit complete with the thin windshield I hate. Hope that wasn't too confusing.
