Nicely done. I usually think themed or airbrushed bikes look overdone, but yours turned out really nice. Not sure why, but I really like the red front hub.
I truly appreciate all of the positive feedback. I'm in the same boat as most of you with not being partial to airbrushing or 'flashy' things, so I decided to keep this bike simple and take my time doing things right. I'll call my buddy who is storing her for me and see if he can snap a few pictures with the new seat and bags.
BTW- I browsed this forum quite a bit before registering looking for inspiration and ideas on how to build this bike. A LOT of really really really good looking Dyna's here and it took me about 6 months of just looking before I even decided on paint, bars, theme, etc. I am a very patient person.
To you that have served, I thank you for your service. You are what I strive to be every day. Six years later and still going strong. Feet and knees together every time (for you fellow paratroopers out there!). I thank the rest of you for your support and kind words. I hope that one day when I return to the states I can meet some of you at a few rally's/meets. I'll be spending a lot of time in KY and NC.
And yes the aircraft in the pictures is an F-14D. It has since been phased out of service but is an iconic fighter jet of my generation. That jet is currently in custody of the Warbirds Association located in Hickory, NC. They were extremely kind and invited me to bring my Harley down on to the tarmac and snap a few pictures with their birds. An F-4D was also down there. A friend of mine who is a professional photographer took a lot of pictures, just waiting on him to send them to me. I'll post them once I get em!
SAAAWEEET!! Beautiful ride! Love the pics of the bike AND the F-14 Tomcat. (Man, would I love to have a ride in that thing! LOL) I see you also have the Low Rider console with tach & speedo. Anyway, welcome to the forum. And thank you for your service to the USA, sir!
