I know slip on's are stupid easy to put on... But I have an issue and need a little advice please!
I just put a set of Rush Baloney Cut slip on's on my 13 Street Bob... However the forward pipe is contacting the aft pipe... Is this a major issue, since they are secured together anyway with the bar below them?
If so... Any advice on how to get them separated? Can I slide the aft pipe back on the head pipe some?
Looks to me you may need to rotate the mufflers alittle.
Thanks!
Yeah I went back out there, rotated them a little... and slid the back one about a half inch aft and they have about 1/8" gap between them now!
Sorry for the stupid question!
Now if I could just get it a little throatier sounding... I got the 1 3/4" baffles... (They were $100 used, couldn't pass them up!) Thinking about going with the Big City Thuder QQ baffles and a set of XIED's
Might want to look around on the forum for the Ultimate Mod...it's a swap of the stock baffle for a Cycle Shack baffle...works for Street Bobs and Fat Bobs...I did it on my Fat Bob and am very pleased with the results...

The biggest baffles you can get from rush are 2 inch diameter, they might give you a little throatier sound. I've heard the Big City baffles are real loud.

I have V&H slip-ons and may want to change my baffles.
I believe on all Vance and Hines mufflers you have to remove the heat shields to get to the screw that holds the baffles in the muffler. I have Vance and Hines Straight Shots and thats what I have to do to get to my baffles.
