I've been running a Street Bob solo on my Fat Bob for a while now, but I'm thinking some more comfort is worth considering. Still want a solo, just not a huge one, and maybe something that gives me a little more legroom, I'm 6'0. Anyway, are the Mustang Tripper Solo seats worth the time, effort or cost? I like the looks of their newer tuck&roll model. Any info or other suggestions would be helpful. THX
I run my stock street bob seat over my tripper seat. Sometimes I put it on for something different. It sits real low and I feel more stretched out on it. I think stock is more comfortable tho.
Even seeing the name Mustang Tripper still makes me cringe
I took a Wide Tripper on 500mi weekend ride and it was the most uncomfortable trip I can ever remember.
I did talk to Mustang_Seats about this and the response was the Tripper seats are designed a max of 100mi
I guess I've heard maybe the Tripper is not the best for long stints. My longest in the last 10 years might be 2 hours, but you never know when a extended ride might come up. I did put the stock Fat Bob seat back on it,but have not tried it yet (finally getting cleaned). One member said the Tripper is for riders under 150 pounds,I'll bet not many Dyna buyers are that light. Anyway, any other good choices? Anybody running a DG Buttcrack?
Its a long story, this is not the bike I had the Tripper on for the trip, but the Mustang Wide Vintage touring seat is was a left over from trying to get the other bike comfortable.
Anyway, the Mustang Wide Vintage is working out great on the Switchback, after a little break-in its getting damn comfortable. Mustang makes a solo version in regular and wide.
I have a Mustang Wide Tripper Solo on my Dyna and I had one on my Road King. Both had rider backrests. They are MUCH more comfortable than the stock seat for me...I only weigh 160-170 so maybe that's why...
