Removing timer cover

Removing timer cover

Looking to replace the bolts on my timer cover and go to black ones. Curious, if you remove any of the bolts will oil come out? I'd do one at a time (take one out, put one in) Thanks.

No oil will come out of your timer cover. If you remove the cam cover behind it; oil will come out.

It's pretty much a blank cover...some people use it to store spare/emergency ca$h.

I would question the ability to store anything in there... wouldn't it get really hot? Like 250 degrees? What could you put in there?

Only thing the timer plate is for now is a place to stash your cash. Be sure you have the proper tools. Those small OEM screws are usually loctited and tight. If you are not careful, you will make a mess.
