Hey guys. Here's a pic of my Ohlins that I just had hard coated ano black. I just wasn't feeling all of that gold. There's a before picture attached. What do you guys think? Black or gold? Not that I can go back now, lol. I used a company out of Clovis, CA and I haven't been this pleased with a company in quite some time. Quick turn around time, quality work. You can't beat it. If you guys need any ano in Northern California, these are the guys. They also do pick-up. Now back to the bike.
I'm taking it to my machinist buddy tomorrow. We're going to make the brackets for my Ohlins top mount steering damper. Also, if anybody wants I have a spare, brand new, DK coil relocator kit with plug wires. I'll sell it for $55 shipped to the lower 48. I didn't realize I already had one.
I'll keep you guys updated on the progress of this build.
Why does ohlins so in love with the yellow and gold. What you did makes it look so much better, great job. Looks like you have many builds going on thee at the same time
Here's a couple more pics. I'm getting ready to throw it in the truck for tomorrow. Yeah, I do have a few builds going on. I picked up a few BBR mini bikes in April. Well really fifteen of them. I've been selling them. I have three left to sell. I'm keeping two of them. The one that I'm showing a picture of is a BBR CRF 150F with a 230F motor. I'm also building the only Kawasaki KLX 140 BBR framed bike. I got lucky and stumbled across all of those bikes. That's how I'm paying for the Harley build. I've had this Harley now for four or five years. It's just been sitting. The wife finally told me to put the Harley together and stop screwing around with these little bikes. I think it might have backfired on her a little bit, lol, because she knows I can't just slap it together. I already had the wheels, suspension, brakes, and swingarm so now it's just the little things that are killing me. Those are not the handle bars that I'm running. My bars will be black with hard ano silver switches and throttle. Also my risers are going to be another inch taller. I have a trick up my sleeve for the fairing and gauges. What I'm going to use, I don't think anybody has used on a Harley. My idea looks good on paper. We'll see once I get it in my hands. There's been a few parts like that that just haven't worked out for me.
Looks great I love the forks. I've been racing moto my entire life so im a big fan of the inverted forks. I also favor the gold personally, but the black looks fantastic. Glad your goin ***** to the wall with your build.
by the way, your Crf 150, was it the trail bike or the race bike?

This was the CRF 150F trail bike motor. This bike at one time was built for Langtown and Vegas so it has a 150F motor, 230F crank, wild porting. Makes 30hp on the Dyno. The guy that I got these bikes from stopped riding them when they allowed the 150R to compete with the other bikes. The KLX BBR 110s I have motors are built to 195s.
