Thinking about putting slipons on my Switchback. I was told by my "bike" guy that I need to add a fuel pack. He suggested the one he sells($500). I have stock S/C. Do I need a fuel pack?
just slipons and no AC, you wont need fuelpak. of you do AC and pipes, youll need some sort of fuel management. just dont pay him $500 for a fuelpak when you can get it from JPcycles for 250 if you really need it.
Technically..on the Switchback you only need a slip-on
I just put a V&H Twin Slash on my SB, the engine was(and is) completely stock. The slip-on improved the sound 1000%. Its running great, took about 100mi to for the ECU to adjust, then no decel. popping. By the seat of my pants, the SB is more responsive, no its not a big increase but its all good. No you do not need a fuel pack or turner to run a slip-onmuffler...
Like others have said, if you just change the exhaust you DO NOT need a fuelpak or fuel management. If you want to add more fuel, look at nightrider.com and get you some of these http://sales.nightrider.com/fl-xied-10.html for $120.
