Just switched from semi-apes, to the lowest bars I could put on my WideGlide, without the throttle cables hitting the tank. Really really happy with the look.

In addition to that, the the added forward lean just about balances out wind pressure at 60 to 70 mph, so there's not nearly as much strain on my hands and arms at freeway speeds.

I just ordered the 8" drag bars made by bikers choice...under 100 bucks and I can return them if I don't like them:
Amazon.com: Bikers Choice Triple Chrome T-Bar Handlebar - 1 1/4in., Color: Chrome, Handle Bar Size: 1 1/4in. 495451: Automotive Amazon.com: Bikers Choice Triple Chrome T-Bar Handlebar - 1 1/4in., Color: Chrome, Handle Bar Size: 1 1/4in. 495451: Automotive

These bars are awesome for the price (92 bucks with free delivery) Also added the polyurethene bushings. All went smooth except pulling the wires through were a bitch. Damaged to of the pin connectors so I had to replace those. Taking the wires out and back in of the molex connectors was super easy and quick. After all I heard, I thought it would be hard. Much easier then soldering...

The measurements of the 1 1/4" bars are 8"tall, 8.5" pullback, and 30.5" wide. Put me close to stock position except it brought my hands and arms up and more level and straightened out my wrist much more then stock. Hardest thing is getting use to not twisting the throttle a bit when I go over bumps.

Her's a few pics:

I have about $120 bucks into the entire project including relocating the front turn signals. Harley wanted over 750 to just do the bars and the internal wiring.

I'm stoked!

Are your arms bent more or less than the stock ones?

Couple more pics for reference. I like this setup a lot, I'm 6'4" and I'm sure I would be more comfortable on longer rides with a little taller bars/risers but its just not the look I want
What size front wheel is that?

They are bent a little less...just a slight bend in the elbow. Another not is all stock wires and cables worked with plenty of room to spare.

It's the stock front wheel for a 2011 superglide custom. The angle of the picture looks like your wideglide.

Thanks, all the measuring paid off. Your help and pics helped too even though I was going a slightly different route. I wasn't going to do it for awhile but when I came across some windvest brackets from a really cool forum member...I had to do it now. Thanks again Todd. (I still have the other brackets that your welcome to if you ever find a buyer for that windvest)
