1990 FXR question
I'm looking at a 1990 FXR lowrider with about 25Kmi.
Are there any particular issues/problems that are model specific that I should look for?

At a 'genuine' 25K miles, probably not much is worn out yet. But things I would definitely look into are the volt reg (on my old FXR the volt reg failed at 18K), the front rubber 'donut' motor mount, and for sure the cylinder base gaskets (the EVO motor was notorious for weeping oil there). If the bike has been sitting up for a while, you may have to drain and flush the tank and rebuild the carb. Other than the more obvious things like tires and shocks and cosmetic damage, that low-mileage FXR should serve you well with a minimum of 'restoration.' Hope it works out for you.
