Default Dyna Jackstand

So im in the market for a new jackstand for my 04 fxd and i think i remember reading a while back that not all jacks will work with a dyna. Does anyone have any suggestions on which jack to get or where to get a good one? harbor freight has a lot of good deals but i dont want to spend the money if its just gonna be a pain in the ***. Thanks in advance!

J&S jack is the only way to go. No straps or adapters, climb all over the bike when jacked up...rock solid

I got one from harbor freight. (the yellow one) haha it works just fine. Slides under, has two large support arms that will rest on either side of the motor and has help up for over a year now. Cheap, easy, works.

That J&S looks pretty sweet tho. Dont know if I'd climb all over my bike like he does in the vid tho. haha

I had been looking at the Harbor Freight and Craftsman, but I'm not real sure I want to mod 'em to fit my Dyna. The J&S is expensive in comparison, but looks really nice. I don't need one right now, but the J&S is currently at the top of my list. Pit Bull is another pretty nice one. It runs about the same price as the J&S.

I didn't have to modify anything to make my fit just so you know...

Oh? I just assumed it was the same as the Craftsman. That's what I get for assuming! Thanks for setting the record straight.

Nope, no mods. I'm sure there are different models to pick from. I dont remember the specific name of mine but, it looked a lot like this, price seems about right too. Although I'm pretty sure it wasn't a Pittsburg. And mine is yellow.

thanks for the replies guys. that j&s jack is real nice but no way could i justify spending $400 on a jack when there is still so much work i would like to do to the bike. the money never stops flowing when you own a harley.

I think the yellow jack must be wider than the one in the link.
I have the one in the link and it is pretty narrow. No way it can lift a dyna without hitting the oil pan. I don't think it would work with the red jack mod either.
I'm making an adapter for mine but it isn't simple getting the right placement. It would be great if it was 6 inches wider.
