I never liked the idea o paying for an unfinished paint job. Hahaha. When I bought my 06 superglide they just came out with the streetbob. The dealers were charging three hundred bucks more for the flat paint on it. I thought it was ridiculous to pay more for less paint. Plus the spokes wheels weren't my thing. I do like the colored flat paints a little bit more. To each is own though. And don't we eventually regret just about everything after a long enough time

Love mine. Got a little shiny spot on the rear fender from where my bag sat with nothing underneath it. Microfiber cloth kept it from getting worse, and would have kept it from happening in the first place.
Get lots of compliments on it, then there is the other crowd who doesn't like it. Get some of them asking why my wife's bike is so much prettier....dumb*%@es
I was never a fan of black denim color for the Harley. I also, never thought I would buy or own a Harley back then. But when I told my wife that I am thinking of buying a Harley, she said it's fine but has to be denim black. Can't argue with that.
This is the third "flat bike" bike I have owned in about 12 years. If it wasn't that color I painted it to be. When the trend is over I will still rock it. I love it. Any blemishes or scratches I don't worry about. I think it adds to it.
I've found most Harley owners liked the denim treatment, so I got a KLR650 in a raw grey (denim) paint. Had a magnetic tank bag on for just a few road only rides and it wore a shiny spot on the tank. Guess all motorcycle paint jobs are not equal. My Dyna is Vivid Black and still looks pretty good after two years, but it does show dust scratches up close. Seems nothing is perfect.. tomp dd50
