Your Wideglide will handle fine until you run out of cornering clearance.
On reducing the rake, do you really want it to look more like a standard Dyna, which are about a dime a dozen?
Correction: It's Harley touring bikes which are a dime a dozen. Any Dyna is a welcome relief from row after row of Geezerglides and Winnebaggers.

Take the time to read
When you remove the raked triple trees your bike will gain more trail which will make your bike handle worse. You would have to cut the neck and change it to a 28.5ş to get the trail somewhat correct. This will give you the high 4" of trail if you either cut the fork tubes 2.4" or raise up your bike with longer shocks in the rear.
