How do they connect to the bike?

I get the mirror bolt part, but is that the only connection?

Yep...you just have to hold it in place while you tighten the bolt.

I got a pair recently from Joe and I dig 'em. Joe, I sent you an email that I worked out a way to mount them, not sure if you got it or not. Can you shed a little more light on how they are fully adjustable? I loosened the bolt on the mount and it seemed like you could move the guard up and down a little, but is there more to it than that?

yes... the spacer on the inside will allow you to move the guard towards the end of the bar or towards the center more, you can also move them to the other adjustment further out from the grip. so you basicly can adjust them left, right, up, down, and also towards or away from the grip
