Ive had a few things painted and powdercoated since the cold has set in and just got to thinking those chrome pipes stick out like a sore thumb! has anyone ever done any painting or mods to the heat shields? paint them with high heat paint? or drilled them? just somethin cheap and fun and let me tear somethin else apart. Thanks Z
Yup. I rattle caned mine with high temp. BBQ paint and drilled (3) rows of 1/2" dia. holes staggered. The tricky part was mapping out the holes around and through the hose clamp brackets. This was supposed to be temporary until I figured out what I want for a 'real exhaust' system. 3 years later, and I'm still running this. I thought it turned out alright.

I did only one coat when I first did it. I re-sprayed it once again the next year. They seem to be holding up fine now. I wanted them powder coated, but the guy who does pc around here wasn't confident that it would hold up under the heat.
