I have no idea what you are talking about. Where did I say I don't like saddlebags? Clearly that's not the case since I just spent $800 putting them on. If you're referring to me saying I'm not a Touring bike guy, I meant the actual H-D Touring line, like Road King/Street Glide etc, which is what I traded in to get this Street Bob.
Good move! I think you'll be happy with your choice. I sold my Road King over the summer and bought a Street Bob a couple of months later. While the RK was a great riding bike, I never felt all that comfortable with the overall size. The SB is much more manageable for me.
I did the same thing with the Saddlebags on my SB as well, so that when I want to ride it to work, or I need to stop and pick up something I can carry it home. Nice looking combination.
Ha, our Street Bobs are almost twins. Did you go the detachable route on your bags?
Jdub099 - are those HD detachable bags? Do you thing they're big enough to hold a laptop bag? I need to set my SB up as a commuter, and I need to carry the laptop. That's the one thing I really miss about the RK.
They are regular H-D hard mount bags with Viking Bags detachable mounts and hardware.
I guess it would depend on the size of the laptop. The problem isn't so much the inner storage capacity as it is the size of the opening due to the shape of the bags.
Nice!! Thats my next bike.....Dont wish to hijack the thread so If I might ask a quick question.....I test rode my wifes 13' FXDC and noticed a pronounced vibration at the higher RPMs, are all the Dyna's doing that now?
Congrats on the new bike, looks great. Im right there with ya as I sold my 09 FLHTC and picked up a 2013 Swtchback, the Dyna just felt better weight wise and was more to my liking than the bagger I had.
Loved the bagger, but I knew it would never be what I wanted it to be...
