This fairing isn't for me, but I find it to be pretty interesting. I remember when the factory sold bikes with a fairing like this, but can't remember the year or model. Anyone?

I don't know, I think you missed the boat. These days all the chrome needs to be blacked out to have the "proper Harley look."

Deviant fabrications is also making the clam shells bags, Fxdp light pods, glove boxes, etc. Il be getting those all for my bike. You guys should check out the website. Those are bitchin. I need to get in touch with them and see if the Fat Bob is even an option. Kinda shitty sometimes having those big forks up front. I have wanted an RT fairing for it for awhile now.

how heavy is the fairing aprox?

If I had to guess I'd say 10 lbs?? The fairing itself is about same weight as my tsport fairing with all the mechanical hardware.
They are made from fiberglass, very strong and steardy.
And yes you can put them on a fatbob, I've seen them on a road king and the front end is way bigger than a fatbob.
