Default Weak throttle response

I have a 2014 Dyna Super Glide. I bought her new 3 weeks ago. I noticed yesterday and then again today when I sit at a long red light there is a bog and a weak throttle response when the light turns green. Anyone else experienced this? This is my daily driver and I drive about an hour each way and there are a bunch of lights, I feel the heat coming off the motor at long lights, but could this be an overheating issue?

Possibly, how hot was it outside when this happened?

I'd say about 70 both days.

you can tune the bog out some. or you can use more clutch.

The bike has 700 miles on it. Don't feel like I should have to use more clutch than is needed to compensate for bogging.

Guess I'll be going to the dealership tomorrow morning. Bogged so hard after a light this afternoon she almost choked out.

Based on your forum name, maybe your twisting the wrong grip

Seriously though, it sounds like your air filter is not flowing well. It could also be venting too much blow-by oil into your intake.

1. Try cleaning the filter.
2. Make sure your crank case is not too full of oil.

this is my bet, if it only happens after idling for a while...

"During hot idle, or when the motorcycle is
off-throttle and running at hot temperatures,
EITMS shuts off fuel to the engine’s rear
cylinder, leaving it to idle on the front
cylinder only. Without combustion, the
rear cylinder and exhaust header will begin
to cool, bringing relief to the rider (and
passenger) soon after. Once the rear cylinder
cools to a predetermined temperature, or as
soon as the rider accelerates, both cylinders
resume operation. And by maintaining
constant rpm during rear cylinder
“shutdown,” transitions between one and
two cylinder operation are nearly seamless.
EITMS is purely for rider comfort. When it
activates and “shuts off” the rear cylinder, it’s
not because the motor is overheating. It’s
designed to reduce the heat radiating from
the rear cylinder to the rider"

That makes the most sense as to what I am experiencing. I'll see what they say at the dealership tomorrow.
