Default Expected Power?

I'm leaning towards this winter doing Andrews 37 cams and a Power Commander 5 to my 06 88" Dyna Street Bob, anyone running a similar set up? What kind of power will I'll be looking at and is it worth the money? All together sounds like for parts and labor around $1200, which sounds like a pretty good deal to me.

The Andrews 37 is an excellent cam and a a great match with an 88" dyna. I ran that combination for a while and the numbers were around 84 hp and 94 tq. Also, the power band is real nice and you'll like how the bike feels and responds when you twist the throttle and get on the cam.

BTW, at the time the bike had V&H Straightshots. A 2-1 pipe would likely improve performance.

Last year I did a cam upgrade using the Dave Mackie 575L with HD adjustable push rods, Timken Cam bearing upgrade kit, plus the SEPRT, an Andrews 30T pulley upgrade, Bassani RR II install, and a Dyno tune and the whole job came in at about $1600. The Dyno results we 103.4F/T and 88 HP. The most impressive part was how early the power came on and how wide the power band was with the Dave Mackie cams. The perform as advertised so worth considering.

Also considering this, just looking for a kick in the ***, if I want a lot more power I will have a new motor built and ready to toss in.

Handlebars are actually going to be more comfort than looks, but you make a valid argument sir!

I shudder to think that your bar swap is going to cost as much as cams.

Actually not that bad, $5-$700 for install, internal wiring, and custom cables. I'd do it myself but I learned long ago I don't f with wiring....lol. That, and I'm mechanically retarded.

If I ever do cams on my '06 that's the rout I'll probably go. I just cant seem to find the time since I ride daily and don't want to lay it up.
