Just keep going!
this is one of the best threads ever [IMO], knowing that this is my direction.

I REALLY like the look of this blue and black. Very well balanced, blacked out, but still bright (didn't think that was possible) Just one word. NICE.

I used both their bags and their brackets ...

For the situational awareness of all concerned, the holes on the inner face of the stock bags will not align to the mounting points in the Cycle Visions mounting brackets ...

Their bags have the holes relocated to the proper position ... also, their bags have the shock cutout tower pre-fabbed ... frames and bags are very well made ... bags are fiberglass (vice ABS) ...

I got the mounting frame discounted from M&M Cycle, an online parts source and the bags from Direct Harley Parts, another online parts source located in Rancho Cucomonga CA ... I source the lids and hardware separately on e-bay and the Long Beach swap meet ...

Cycle Visions is pretty proud of their setup (speaking in terms of pricing) ... and they do not offer discounts so as to not undercut their distributors ... although they do offer a military discount to local purchasers who are members of the military (not sure about online/phone orders) ...

Since I am sporting a '58 - '73 FLH fender, I had to cut the cross-brace tabs off the frame and make some stand-offs mounted at the base of the frame ... then mounted the brace at the bottom of my fender ...

The setup is designed for use with the standard Super Glide fender like on the current Super Glide Custom model ... not designed for use with Fat Bob, Wide Glide, or Street Bob ... I believe there are two basic setups for pre-'06 and post-'05 bikes in either black powdercoat or chrome ...
