I was wondering if anyone knew like what is the best motor mount to buy? I see three selections from jp cycles but was curious as to if there were better ones.
Can you post a link to the review?
I'm thinking about doing this over the winter. I've not had any vibration issues yet, but it's just a matter of time until my factory mount takes a crap like everyone else's.
Sorry, guys. If I try to post the review the thread will be deleted. I don't understand why, lots of reviews of stuff here, but we have to comply with the mods' wishes.
Hopefully I'll at least get away with saying...its good.
It's funny how we talk about all kinds of companies that produce exhaust, tire, wheel, handlebar, grips, seats, shocks, paint........you get the picture, we buy it, promote it and recommend their business, yet I am sure that not 100% or even 50% of them pay dues to this forum while making tons of cash via the word of this forum. Why don't almost all threads get deleted because of this logic being used to ban the two known of products discussed in this thread?
I suggest not discussing this here. All that will happen is that this thread will be deleted, which I think is the opposite of what we want.
The reason for deleting the other threads about this mount was, I believe, that the mod who emailed me thought I was selling the mount myself and I wasn't paying anything here so couldn't advertise my own products.
Those are the rules of the site that we agreed to when we signed up and none of us can argue against them. If you don't agree with them then you can only vote with your feet and leave the forum.
For the record, this new mount happened to be developed by someone in the same club as me, the Harley Davidson Riders Club Great Britain. This is a big national club organised on a regional basis. I had never met the developer or even been in contact with him before he made this mount. I owe him nothing and he owes me nothing. When he had a prototype ready I volunteered to test it and I wrote up an independent review with no input from him. If I had thought it was crap I would have said so.
We shall just have to wait for the first person to buy one who is a member of this forum and hope they provide a review.
