I bought a Deltran battery tender plus and tried to install the pigtail in my battery cover. The battery cover is so darn tight with the in-line fuse and fat wires that I can't get the cover back on. The wires are too large (fat) for the cover. I'm going to have to splice thinner (and leave out the fuse block) wires to the pigtail and figure a way to route thinner wires somehow through the top/or side of the battery box to the left side of the engine. Right now I have the seat off and the battery exposed with the spring clips hooked to the battery terminals.
Anyone else figured out how to take care of this tightness problem. By the way, I'm a retired (35 years) IBEW electrician. I've never had a problem before installing a tender on any other bikes I have owned over the years.
