After over a year of wanting, the wife finally took the hint and got me the bars I wanted for my WG.I got the Santee Bonanza 2 bars in 15 in.. Still have to get the cables and new risers but i'm one step closer. Any tips or anything else thats a quick and easy mod I could do while installing?
Nice! Don't forget the riser poly bushes and some way of relocating the signals if you so wish. The market doesn't offer much variety in the way of basic 49mm signal clamps for some reason but the cheapish fleabay ones I used were adequate. I don't like how far the official HD ones stick out but see for yourself.. alternatively just extend the wiring & leave them up by the grips, your choice.
Sweet! I don't think you will need to extend wiring, at least I didn't. Poly bushings are the way to go. Mine are rock solid. As far as signals go, check out Joker's. I just cut mine and havn't installed any to replace since state law doesn't require them. Looks like Kentucky doesn't either. But will probably go with Joker lights if I do. The dash light does flash fast, but rear signals flash at normal pace.

Awesome. Thanks guys im definitely going with the polyurethane's. still trying to decide if I wanna keep the signals. I'f I do im going to relocate them. Looked at the arlen ness ones.
I want new bars for my Wide Glide as well.. but damn I don't feel like going through all the work necessary for the install. I put apes on a Fat Boy I had earlier this year and had to extend cables and it was a LOT of work. Real pain in the ****. Took a good 2 days really taking our time.
Finally got all the parts ordered and dropped my bike off to my Indy before work last night. I was gonna do it myself but shitty long work hours and lack of a garage made me go with the Indy. Can't wait to see the end results. I ordered a kuryakyn relocation kit for the signals then just decided to keep them on the bars anyway lol. I'll post pictures as soon as it's back.
My guy was a lot faster than I figured. He called me a while ago and said she was done. I just picked it up and rode it home, very pleased. Felt like a different ride. The only thing I've noticed is there's a lot more slack or play in the pull on the brake lever. Only the last inch of squeeze seems like it engages. I'll have to adjust a little tomorrow. It was getting dark so these are the best pictures I could get
