I've rode about every current model of bike HD makes....the Fat Bob is easily the best handling bike in the current HD lineup, period.
Hope it works out for ya, and yes post pics if it does.
The one my dealer has is that color...sand camo denim.
Thanks man. I hope they are willing to deal. I've called around and it seems the '14s are just sitting in the dealerships here in La. That and it being Jan should give me a little leverage to get what I want. If not I can wait. Really like the sand denim. First time I saw it at the demo days in the light it really blew me away. Not really a chrome guy so the black and tan contrast hooked me. Plus it's a very rare color around here so it will be unique.
I like it. I have a 12 Fat Bob and I like the 14, maybe more then my 12. I wish I could see one in Amber Whiskey in person. None of the dealers near me have one. In fact most of the local dealers don't have any 14 FBs.
In my opinion...2013 was the last year of the Fat Bob! I was so surprised when I saw the 2014 models! I thought... WTF?? What were they thinking? That rear fender along with those ugly tail lights, looks like something made in kindergarden!
The previous models were perfect in my opinion, it was the best looking bike of the whole lot. It had everything, and that beautiful bobtail....I love it! Too bad they had to make these radical changes to the bike. But I did manage to get the last new 2013 model available here in Norway -got it yesterday, and I am so happy!!
It's not my intention to offend anybody here in this forum, but this is just my opinion of the new 2014 models. Fortunately it seems that a lot of people like them so........

The Amber Whiskey does look nice. I just can't figure out why the headlights have that black ring. Personally I think they should be either all black or all chrome.
I had an 09,so when I crashed it and had to look for another bike the new styling is what turned me away from the 14 Fatbob.
I'm sure they still handle the corners the same...excellently.
I have an '09 Fat Bob, and when I saw the '14 Vivid Black one, I was a little jealous. I hate the tank stripe, the black headlight rings, and the taillight, but I love everything else. The wheels are perfect, and the other new black accents work great with the bike. Other colors I haven't seen in person, but the sand camo one looks like it has potential.
I like mine. I ordered it 5 Aug 2013, my last full day in Korea. I didn't see pics of what they would look like, but assumed they would still look like the 2013's. When I did see pictures, I almost canceled my order, and wanted to go with something else. During my drive from MD (where I was stationed before I went to Korea, and subsequently where I left my truck) to TX, I stopped in NC to visit my cousin. There was a Harley dealership in Asheville, and I went to check them out. I still wasn't certain, but I saw a black denim one like the one I ordered at the dealership I picked mine up from in Abilene. Kent's Harley Davidson has good reviews on the web, and that's why I chose them. They were great to deal with, especially considering it wasn't their sale. They went over mine and found some issues and fixed them before I took delivery.
The look has grown on me, and I love the taillights now, and the black wheels. I'm probably going to have the tank re-painted or powder-coated to get rid of the stripe, though, and get the rest of the headlight blacked out. Those are the only things I don't like any more.
Loved it from the minute I saw it. Held out for a couple months but finally bit the bullet in December and bought one. It's such a fun bike, I spend more time on it these days than I do any of my others. I don't like the chrome headlight housing, I'll get that powdercoated at some point and have changed out almost all the other chrome stuff for black parts already. Here are a couple pics I've snapped along the way. Changed out the derby and timing covers today and have black 10" drag bars similar to the HD Street Slammer bars to install next week when I'm off work. Have the black rear fender covers on there now too.
I definitely agree with you on the headlights. Thankfully there are a few local places that powdercoat so I could get it taken care of right away. The whole black ring around it just throws the whole front end off for me. That license plate bracket will be the first thing that has to go for me. I'm talking before any upgrades or cosmetic work.
Andito: How does the seat handle water? Kinda curious about that. Does it act like a sponge, does it dry out quickly, or does water just run off? Thought I'd check on some first hand experience.
