Default wide tire kit for Dyna

I am thinking of doing a 240 wide tire kit on my dyna, has anyone done this? If so tell me how it rides, turns and pulls please.

Thanks,

Mike

Goos luck there is a company that makes it but I haven't been able to commit to the money for it. It just seems like alot of parts that are off the shelp kinda thing to get the ones that aren't and you really need. ANy how thay have kits for up to 300mm BUT I've been strong cautioned about the alingment on these. If you do do this please send me some pics and info on how it works out so I can finally make a solid decision on it. I've been thinking about the 300 for about 6 months now.

I am going to do the 240 kit from drag specialties. I know the 300 pulls funny due to the offset, but the 200 or 240 do not have a offset. I will post some pictures after it is done.

Don't know if it's true or not,but every time I start thinking about these kind of mods,if I talk to one of the local indy chopper shops, they tell me you might as well let them strip your bike and build you a chopper with a new frame and come out about the same moneywise.

Good Luck

Tom, you may be right, but I love Harley. I think the Dyna is the best looking bike out there. I got the street slammer bars on my bike and it turns some heads. I am getting ready to do the motor to a 107 and make it 120 plus hp and then I want a 240 back end. This is my Daytona fun nasty bike. I will ride my Ultra with the wife and on the interstate.

I have a 240 on my dyna and I love the ride!!It has a much softer ride and it doesnt follow the ruts in the road like it did with a 150. Turning is fine. With the Zodiac kit the rear wheel is about .12 too far to the right with a 240 on my dyna. So I had to make a shim to bring it back closer to center. But I may have not noticed a difference in the ride.I just broke my finnal drive gear with the 25 mm offset. I tried everyone including Hogpro but no one would help me get a replacement. They wanted me to buy a hole new kit!!!! But the awesome People at Primo in CA ( Thanks Mike!!!) Helped me get a replacement gear. It only had about 2000 miles on it. I'm still in the process of replacing it , So I don't know what exactly caused it yet. So before buying a kit from anyone. Ask about replacement parts, Because HD doesn't sell them.

You can go 200mm with this and get the nice fender that makes the rear look wider. No cutting...
