I got a 2007 streetbob and have always had dunlops for tires. I was wondering what others brands would. You guys recnd? Saw a brand called shinko that were not expensive. Anybody have any experience with this brand?

If they have your size avail. I would buy tires in this order, Metzler 888, not the 880, the Michelin Comander II, or the Dunlop Elite
When it comes to tires, you DEFINITELY get what you pay for. In my opinion I would stay away from Shinko tires. They are a budget tire with way less R&D than the bigger name brands.
Michelin, Metzler, and Pirelli are all excellent choices. I switched to The Pirelli Night dragons from the stock Dunlops and the handling is awesome. The tires stick like glue during cornering and braking.
I had a poor life with the Shinko's I had on the Wide Glide. I do not recommend, But it was what I could afford at the time and was able to get one season out of them before they started to wear in an odd pattern and then started to "scallop".
Put Avons on my sporties, way better handling and ride than the Dunlops. Getting Avon Cobras for the Glide this spring. I'm not saying Dunlops are bad, the Avons just feel better to me.
