Dyna Shifter squeak
Hello
Simple question for you When I move the shift lever on my 05 Dyna Superglide Custom I get a high pitched squeak It doesn't have to move much and not even have to change gears It sounds like the shaft is rubbing on the case. How do I fix that I could spray some lube in there but that would only temporarily fix it if it is rubbing Could this cause unnecessary wear on the shaft and/or case Is something out of alignment? Could this be an indication of something more serious? Only 400 some mile on it. Guess I can wait until I take it back for the 1k checkup. Any advice welcome

It's probably the shaft where the foot shifter pivots, you can remove the shift peg arm and slide out the shaft to grease it. Just try to measure where it is as far as height off the floor so you can get it back in the same position on the spline.
