Default HELP on lifts???????

Okay, I have read more posts on bike lifts. Everybody says Sears is the best bang for the buck. I just went to the web site and seen they are $69.00 on sale. BUT......read the reveiws and 7 out of 8 says it SUCKS!!!! The thing breaks and no replacement parts for cylinder and seals. I beleive I would need the adaptor for use on an 06 DYNA. My back doesn't like me hunched over doing spokes anymore. What's the best way to go??? MAKO

I purchased the Sears red jack. Haven't had it long enough to recomend or coment on it's reliability. I have had my 06 Dyna WG lifted on it and was very stable. I used 2x4's as spacers, I will however be buying the Harley adapters. The construction of the lift appears fine. As for replacement parts for the bottleneck jack, hmm never thought of it or cared, it is a bottle neck jack they are cheap and readily available everywhere.

I got mine at Wal Mart for $79 and it works great. I've had it for 2 years now and use it all the time. Never had an issue with it. Don't remember the brand name though.

I bought mine at Harbor Freight. I got the yellow one that they carry. Its labled as an ATV lift, it works great. Really sturdy and was a lil cheaper than the lil red one at sears and alot sturdier and I think it was $62.

My bike has been sitting up on my red Sears jack for the last two months, no problems and very sturdy(even w/ the front end removed).

I bought my jack from Northern Hydraulics. It can lift my wife's '04 FXD and my '06 FXDCI. It is also set to were you can adjust it to the bike by the sides.

I have the red lift from Sears and it works fine.I don't see where I would need any type of adapter. It's a little tippy, ie you can't sit on it while it's jacked up if you don't use the included ratchet straps to secure it, but for cleaning the spokes or changing oil it's fine.

Mako, my Red Sears jack works great. I've never had a problem with it. I would imagine if you hadto use it everyday, you would have to invest in a higher quailty jack but for cleaning and routine maintenance, it works fine. I use blocks to ride up on for clearance and use the adaptors also.

I do use the straps now to secure it down. It's not worth it to me of my scoot falling off the jack. Tim
