Im standing 5'5" tall here, I'd like to sit up straight and not reaching the handle bar when riding. Im planning on replacing my stock bar with a 14" pullback handlebar on my 2013superglide. Any inputs? thanks
My wife has an FXDC and im in charge of doing the same thing with her problem. She needs 15" of pullback which equates to either a Tbar low reach beach bar or an ape with some serious pullback. The Tbar can give her the 15" but she hates the look so Im going the ape route which the Wild1 either 12.5 or 14" boasting 11-12" plullback (WO502 or WO572). The remaining couple inches I can make up with pullback riser or a bar that would allow me to tilt a little towards the back and not point the grips downward causing other issues. This time im going to carefully mount it on the bike and let her get the feel for how it would be instead of running all the cables only to have to pull em all out again. So, thats your choice as well but make sure you're getting the right pullback or your spinning your wheels sorta speak.

Yeah you can go the ape route but some people are complaining about sleepy arms after a while of riding. the apes also raises your hands and most are at or above the riders heart level. her arms must be at least lower than her heart for a unrestricted blood flow to her arms.
I found another solution to this issue. check this out. go to flanders website and look at the list of all HDs stock handle bars. I found one that has a pullback of 14.5". Its a handlebar for a Road King Custom, from 2004-2007. It has even a part number listed and its only $75 from HD. Its not 15" pullback but you can install it with a 4.5 pullback riser and will give you additional pullback. If I go with this route, I will be taking my bike to the dealer because cables and wires need to be replace. Good Luck!
