Cycle Shacks, best bang for the buck. You can get them for $150 or less, they sound great and the chrome is excellent. I replaced my V&H slip ons with them and wished I had known this before. I was having some trouble with my tune. I switched to the CS based on the recommendation of my buddy who was helping me with the tune and he was right- they were a lot easier to tune.
This is the company that made the old Screamin Eagle mufflers and basically uses the same baffles.
2014 Street Bob, looking for a good set of slip-ons, leaning toward vance and hines, and ideas will be appreciated.
Like Sharkman 73 said if you ever want to do more to the bike you will want a full system. I did the slip-on thing with my old Sportster and less than a year later I went to a full system. Didn't make that mistake on this one. Just my 0.02
I'm going with Cycle Shacks on my '02 FXD. No money tree in the backyard, so I'm getting some vibe & some go-faster for short $. And... if I do go with a full system at some point down the road, I won't have thrown away a great big sack of money.

As time rolls around and stay riding you will change things up.
You'll get tired of the sound, the looks something. I have a bike that I have had for 10 years, I have done a complete change of looks twice now.
As far as slip on's That is something you really need to pick. It's still early in the new year and exhaust is only a couple hour job so I would wait so you can hear for yourself what you like. Sound is very subjective.
