Default Fairing Windscreen Paint

Hey fellas,
I've been doing some reading about paint for the windscreen on a HD quarter fairing. Krylon Fusion seems to be popular so I wanted to post a question to see what else people have had good or bad results with.

General consensus also seems to be to paint the inside so that's what I was going with. Anyone disagree? Thanks guys!

Use black plasti-dip on the inside, goes on nice and will peel off if u don't like it. Very durable too.

Like he said^

Or auto parts stores sell a thing called tail light headlight tinter in an aerosol can. If you have a quarter fairing that covers the headlight, I wouldn't paint or tint that for obvious reasons

Mine is painted on the inside with Rustoleum Ultra Cover Flat Black.

The headlight lens is untinted, but with the black paint in the cavity and a black LED Daymaker, it appears to be tinted.

Cool, I'll look into those options. So far I'm only interested in painting the windscreen, not the headlight lens but maybe later down the road.

SquidHead - what do you think of the day maker? If you could go back would you buy it again?

Yo, 07HDStreetBob, that looks great! Did you use just the regular black plasti dip or did you put the glossifier on after the regular dip.

I've used Krylon Fusion for many projects, and for face shields it peels off again, if the surface is not roughed up. I imagine it would do the same on a windscreen.

Its just the black plasti-dip on the inside, no glossifier, don't need it the windscreen makes it look glossy
