I like the look of the dual headlights, but haven't seen any quarterfaring that I like with the duals. Some kind of fairing is probably gonna go on one way or the other, just to get some windprotection.
So how do you go ahead and mount a Rifle or Memphis Shades quarter fairing on the Bob. Which headlight is required? Are the mounting brackets gonna fit the Fat Bobs front end? ( I dunno the difference between the narrow, mid and wideglide front ends. All I know is that the FatBob has the 49mm fork ).
The Memphis Shades one is made for the Fat Bob for dual factory headlights. No changes required. Just hardware. At least from the pictures I've seen so far. I've been contemplating it very hard just to have the wind protection for day or weekend long road trips. I'll leave it off around home though.

Have you looked at the Dougz and Conley's options? There was a thread recently discussing the two of them. I'm still undecided between the two of them.
The MS Batwing is cool, but it's more of a touring fairing. As you said, then you'd end up only using it for the long hauls. I'd like something for everyday use aswell.
To make it super simple I would just get a fairing and stock head light for a Wide Glide. Ive never seen a dual head light fairing that looked "right". I actually like the dual head lights on my Fat Bob but I would definitely swap to a single if I was dead set on a fairing.
I've been looking as well and as far as 1/4 fairings go the above listed options are the only two I've been able to find while keeping our dual light setup up..So I decided to go for option 3 and am going to try and build my own
What other Harleys have the same forkdiameter and tripletree as the Fat Bob?
I e-mailed Memphis shades, asking which of their gaunlet fairings and mounting-kits I needed on a Fat Bob if I changed to a single headlight. Today I got the response:
"I’m sorry but we don’t offer one for your bike."

Not very helpful.
Hoping you guys have some useful info
The 2010+ Wide Glide. The only difference is the trees have 2° of rake to them where the fatbob has 0°. I've seen rifle fairings on Wide Glides so you should be able to use one of those if you convert to a single headlight.
