As for "the cup of tea" as long as it's yours, that's all that matters. You've done an excellent job on that paint. I've seen paint jobs by "pros" that don't look that good.
Thanks everyone...here's a few more of it in work just to show it off some. Also did all the powder coat myself with the harbor freight kit a toaster oven and some vivid black powder.

Dude, the more I look at your work the more I'm convinced you are pulling are leg with the spray can/first time ever gag! You're like a professional painter right, you and your pro crew did this over a weeks time, right!
Fantastic, quite a feat!
Check this out, you see where it says Harley-Davidson on the side cover?
Instead of that, what if you found a way to put "WartHog" in place of the HD!
WartHog being the nickname of the A10 and of course, the "Hog" connection.

Anyway, again, OUTSTANDING
Nope, first time. A lot of it is just taping and getting used to the airbrush. Like the bullet holes i probably did on paper 10 times first. I thought about putting something on the A-10 in there but i figured people would either know it's an A-10 or not. I did make a cover for my filter to look like the gun.

And seriously, all Duplicolor perfect match except the final clear. That was rattle can too but it was a two part that you activate before use. Awesome stuff, here is a link: http://www.eastwood.com/spray-max-2k...t-aerosol.html
I know not everyones cup of tea but i wanted something different and i wanted to see if i could do it myself. I have been in the Air Force for 19 years and I am an aircraft mechanic so i modeled it after my favorite acft (A-10). Bought an airbrush and rattle can paint and went to town. Used a two-part clear coat in a can (Spraymax 2K) the stuff is awesome. Sanded and buffed it out and I am very happy with the way it looks.
