Painted it myself...
mind giving us the steps you used? ….what grit did you sand the stock paint with before your base coat? then you did base, clear, airbrush, clear, wetsand and buff? thanks and congrats on a job well done!!
also, are the letters from a stencil or how did you do them? i airbrush on the side and just curious, always looking for new things to try or different ways of doing things.

Sanded everything with 320 first, got off all the clear and into the base coat. Had to go to bare metal in the few spots so i could fill some small dents.
Next was a fillable primer (duplicator) and sanded with 400
tack coat followed by 2 light coats and 1 wet coat of base (duplicator perfect match) no sanding
2 coats of clear so i could tape and airbrush (duplicator) sanded with 800 wet
did the airbrushing, used stencils, tape and frisket film. Anything you are going to tape over must first be shot with clear otherwise the tape will pull it off. For example, the mouth did the whole thing black, shot with clear, dried with my wife's blowdryer, masked off and sprayed the red, cleared and then did the teeth.
After i was done all the airbrushing I shot the whole thing with the duplicolor clear again and wet sanded with 800.
Then I used the SprayMax 2K clear, a light coat followed by 3 or 4 pretty heavy coats. Took 3 cans to do the tank and fenders. This stuff went on great, no runs, and just a slight orange peel. Let dry for a week and then wet sanded 1000, 1500, 2000.
Then used my Dewalt DA polisher and some 3M polish to buff out. Came out smooth as glass.
This was my first time doing anything like this, was easier than I thought but tedious at times. The clear is very durable and i dripped some gasoline all over the tank under the console to make sure nothing happened, let it sit there for a minute or two and it just wiped right off no issues. Any other questions let me know.
The Harley symbol was pretty easy too. Airbrushed the whole thing white with a red square, cleared over it with duplicator, sanded real quick and put a vinyl harley decal on and taped off with thin line tape then airbrushed the black and took an x-acto to remove the decal.
