Thanks, this is just a little something I figured I could contribute; paying back in to the store of knowledge and upgrades here that I've learned from.

Default FXDXT Retro Leather Bags

Great pictures and those bags in leather look amazing! Helped me make up my mind. From years of putting on miles, I know that bags get beat up, faded and discolored. With the leather, you could just wiped them down with a cloth or soap & water. Time to step up and pay.

I got mine in the mail today during my lunch break and didn't have time to open them! This thread just made me so excited to get home and open them up.

Great write up.

Default Zippers on LP Bags

Has anyone ever had trouble with the zippers on their LP bags? I loaded up one of the bags the other day and am very concerned that these zippers will break over time, especially if you are loading them up a lot. IMHO I think they should be a little beefier.

Nick, if you go back and read how these bags were developed (here:https://www.hdforums.com/forum/dyna-...g-rebuild.html), you will see that we were trying to duplicate Haley's design, but with some improvements. We used the same #10 coil zippers that Harley did and after over 1500 pair of these bags have been shipped out, we have not had one complaint about a failed zipper. I guess Harley new which zippers to put on the bags.

Keep ridin'
