Ya, I needed the QR for the fairing, the way it comes from rifle is going through your pinch bolts, so taking it on and off requires about 15 min of wrenching, and repositioning. I like to take it off from time to time anyway, just to get the full wind in my face so, the QR was right up my alley. Plus, it was really easy to do. Definitely the way to go.
The red on the rim is just an auto pinstriping vinyl. It was $4 for a 40 foot roll! It looks EXACTLY like paint when applied, yet will peel off if I ever want too.
The seat is an RSD seat. Its my 3rd one I've tried on my bike, about probably the 10th I've tried on other dynas. Best seat for comfort, looks and slim contour if you ask me. I've done several 400 mile days on this with zero complaints.
