1982 fxr wheels on 1999 fxdx?

as the title says, im looking at a set of cast wheels off a 1982 fxr and hoping to replace the spokes on my 1999 fxdx. will they work?

I wanna say no.

The year split for wheels is usually 84-99.

The big diff being chain vs. belt drive. I am not sure if the bearings are the same or not.

The wheels will work fine.

The FXR wheels are tapered roller bearing. If you have the same bearings your good to go. If you have the sealed bearings , there is multiple company's that make tapered roller to sealed bearing conversions.

Try a google search with " 9 spoke mags on a 99 Dyna " , and you should be able to find some more info.
