I'm seriously considering selling my thunder header and picking up a black Bassani. I've seen a bunch of them on here and I like the way it looks. I do want to check on a few things before I make up my mind on this. I love the sound of my t-header but I'm tired of dragging it every other right turn. The Bassani seems to sit higher on the bike, does anyone have issues dragging theirs? Anyone with a black pipe having issues with it turning brown without shields? Do you like the way it sounds? Fit and finish good/bad? The t-header is awesome but I think the quality has gone to ****. Thanks for the reviews fellas
Edit: Also anyone running this pipe with mid controls had any issues with fitment? Thanks

I have this pipe with mid controls. I love the pipe, but the sound is just ok. I have gone back and forth with modifying the baffle wrap and in the end unding up just removing it. It didn't make it that much louder and I stuck a home made lolly pop in there to make up any lost pressure.
The pipe is up high so you'll never have issues dragging it. Check out my garage to see some different angles.
I had the B1 roadrage and hated the way it sounded the quality was beautiful but it rubbed like the TH. so I sold the bassani and kept the thunderheader the looks grow on you.
theres 4 types of bassani road rage.. you got the 2 into 1 long or short, the mega power and the B1 series. the standard 2 into 1 will sit higher than the mega and b1. I have the mega power on my 13 db and i scrape alot. quality is AWESOME..had mine for almost a year now and no browning or fading whatsoever. i love the sound of mine but its not the theader sound..
Hmmm sounds like most aren't thrilled with the sound... Dammit, I'll for sure need to try and find someone with this pipe so I can hear it for myself before I drop the money on it. Izzy I was checking out some shots of your bike, it looks like the heat shields fit pretty clean. Do the tubes come together right by the brake lever/ peg or are they side by side or something? I really like how tight it is to the frame. There's a shop out here that's cutting and re-routing the thunder header to tuck it closer to the frame, I just hate to drop the money to have that done and then still have to coat it. Can't really justify dropping $400-$500 to mod an $850 pipe. Hows the performance aspect of the pipe? I'm planning some motor work soon and will be aiming for about 120hp. I'm sure the Bassani will be fine for this

I was checking out the 2-1 short for sure. Anyone had a passenger complain about heat off the pipe? The opening is pretty close to the rear pegs
I am also going with the Bassani pipe for my 14 SB. The part #'s are kinda confusing to me. I like the pipe that I would consider the medium length pipe. It comes back to the rear shock bolt (roughly). I was considering the short but I was told that the shorter pipe is for higher rpm power and I am looking for power in the lower rpm range.
