Went to see a couple of Wide Glides last weekend, I have an '07 sportster now and I'm looking for something that will be more comfortable on the highway.
I'm pretty specific on the look I want and pretty set on a wide Glide.
I'm interested in both and they are roughly the same price, both the same year. One is further along with the upgrades I want, but has a lot more miles.
Hopefully you guys can give me some advice on whats the better way to go.
Heres the specs:
*Black, 3,000 mi. Aftermarket stainless wheels, stock wheels (not on bike) lots of chrome upgrades.Chrome swing arm /belt pulley.
Needs: I would change signal lights, put S&S carb and breather on it, new seat, replace custom wheels with stock
Silver 12,000mi.
Needs: Change handlebars and cables
*The black bike was already started when I pulled up to see it, so I think the battery might need replacing soon.
Any advice is appreciated.
Sounds like the Black one is the better deal to me. You could sell the custom wheels on eBay help to off set the cost of your desired mods. Plus with only 3K miles it is barely broken in.
